ABOUT / MISSION & STORY

A PLACE TO PLAY.
ROOM TO GROW.

Sports open the door. Relationships, guidance, and family support help young people carry what they learn into life.

01 / THE MISSION

More than a game.

Connect Sports is a sports training program that aims to bring families together. We provide parent resources and teach young people life and leadership skills through sports, fitness, education, mentoring, and mental health programs.

Participants receive guidance from trained and experienced coaches who use a proven, structured curriculum. During the season, youth take part in healthy competition and receive positive reinforcement from the people around them.

Every practice is a chance to learn a skill. Every season is a chance to build confidence, character, and connection.

02 / THE PEOPLE WHO STARTED IT

The founders: our journey,
the vision & beyond.

Tez Andrews, Connect Sports co-founder
Gala Andrews, Connect Sports co-founder

Tez and Gala Andrews founded Connect Sports in 2012 to enhance the community through recreational sports, mentoring, and faith-driven outreach. What began in Decatur, Georgia, now reaches students and families across Metro Atlanta.

The work has taken many forms, from school partnerships to football chaplaincy and community support. Its purpose has stayed steady: building character, strengthening families, and sharing the love of Christ through sports.

03 / THE VISION IN ACTION

The story keeps moving.

The program grows through the everyday work of coaches, families, and community partners.
